Extreme Adobe Build:
Teachers with the State of Arizona’s Career and Technical Education program teamed up with Beyond Adobe to build a concession stand in three days! The Extreme Build took place in July 2009 on the campus of Catalina Magnet High School in Tucson, Arizona. Twenty three extreme teachers along with the extreme team from Beyond Adobe met under the Tucson blazing summer sun. In just three heat filled days the collaboration of both groups resulted in one nice adobe concession stand for the kids, the high school and it's sports programs. Dirt was delivered, bricks were made, the slab on grade was poured, the walls rose, the roof appeared and plaster was spread over the walls.
The result: a cool concession stand to quench the thirst of all.
