ADOBE PRIVACY WALL
Breaking Ground: The ground opens up.

The Form Takes Shape: Notice the slight inward angle of the form work.

Now, What The Heck? The form work was complicated with many odd-angled corners....

and lots of steps...

and lots of turns!
Let's ROCK! The pump delivers the first of twenty-four yards.

Misc steel insterted into form.

Staging the Adobes: We had to carry in by hand three thousand or so adobes before we could start!

The Fun Starts: Erik and Josh lead the way!

Got MUD? We worked with some slick mud this time to allow for easy spooning and tight joints.

Striking the Joints: Spoon-Master E-Rock snuggles the mud into its rightful place...between two adobes!

First Day's Work: The fence consisted of four adobe wall sections divided by three metal sections. We started on the smallest and straightest adobe section to get warmed up.

Finished adobe section.

Stained concrete stem.

The Steel Work Begins: The steel posts are now set to begin the steel fence sections.

The Sparks Fly: Welder John welds up the steel frame as we set it in place.

The first steel framing section is complete.

Finish Rusted Steel: My favorite part of the steel fence. I love the rust look and the curves help break it up.

Custom Cap: We utilize non-galvanized sheet metal, custom bend it to serve as a cap and dirp-edge, and rust it too. The disks are old plow-disks.

Yard Entrance: The gate was made with various found peices. The rusted steel cap matches well to the stained concrete stem.

Finished stepped section.

V-8 Road Runner: Various art peices were attached to the wall. This guy was my personal favorite.

Adobe and Steel.
