Wingfield Historic Restoration
Camp Verde, Arizona - November 2008
Beyond Adobe worked to revitalize adobe walls from 1871 that had fallen into disrepair. Broken bricks and adobe dirt that had washed from the wall to the ground was actually reconstituted and made into new hand made adobe bricks. New walls were built and tied into existing ones. New concrete grade beams were constructed underneath existing adobe walls previously placed directly on the ground. Locally harvested lumber was sourced for the gable and the old west style front porch. Hand made ferrous sulfite stain on wood. A three-coat application of hydraulic lime plaster was used to finish the exterior.
